Cairo is the capital of Egypt and one of the largest cities in the world. On the city's outskirts lies the amazing Giza Pyramid Complex. The city and the pyramids provide central settings in City Spies City of the Dead.
Another important Egyptian setting in the book is the Valley of the Kings. This is a royal necropolis near the city of Luxor. The Valley of the Kings is where King Tut's tomb was discovered in 1922. The discovery of that tomb provides the opening for the book.
